As a long time resident of this wonderful London neighbourhood I am always happy to share the great things that can be found in Summerside. Not only in Summertime, but all year long.
I have a family, so all of the family activities within the Summerside Community are appealing to me. This community is primarily occupied by young families however, you can find professionals, seniors, and other various home owners here.
One of the most exciting summer time activities in Summerside is the Canada Day fireworks at Meadowgate Park. It is a wonderful celebration with music and people. A great show is put on by the community and can be enjoyed by everyone. It would be so nice if more events like this could be arranged and put on in this park with the Summerside Community. Such a great way to get to know your neighbours and form a feeling of belonging.
Another family fun activity in Summerside is the splash pad. It is a very clean and well kept area that is just 1 year old. Such a nice treat for the families of Summerside to enjoy on hot summer days.
There are two primary parks in the Summerside community. Meadowgate Park, and Carroll Park. There are tennis courts, basketball nets, a soccer field, and even toboggan hills for some winter fun.
Another great past time is to take long walks on the quiet residential streets. Taking in views of beautiful homes, landscaping, and trees.
Summerside has grown and developed so much over the years. And there is a lot more planned for the future. With the new school being built and further growth in housing development.
